The second busiest route connects Los Angeles to New York's JFK, featuring 530 flights, all on the airline's A321 Transcon aircraft. Other significant routes include Los Angeles to Miami, Chicago, and Charlotte, with 463, 448, and 422 flights, respectively. American Airlines has shifted to using more narrowbody aircraft on these routes compared to previous years, reducing the use of widebody planes.
