American Eagle jet damaged by baggage vehicle in Philadelphia
A plane heading to Charleston from Philadelphia was damaged before takeoff on March 19. The American Eagle flight, operated by PSA Airlines, was hit by a baggage vehicle while parked at Philadelphia International Airport. The impact created a crack in the right wing of the aircraft. Thankfully, no one was injured during the incident. According to an American Airlines representative, the plane was quickly taken out of service for inspection. Passengers were moved to a different aircraft, which then flew them safely to Charleston, South Carolina. A local TV station in Philadelphia shared a video showing the damage inside the cabin of the affected plane.
