Amherst defeats Colby 4-1 in NCAA quarterfinals
Amherst College defeated Colby College 4-1 in the NCAA Division III women’s hockey quarterfinals held in Amherst, Massachusetts. Bea Flynn was a standout player, scoring two goals. She opened the scoring in the first period and added her second in the second period. Ayla Abban and Natalie Fu also contributed to Amherst's strong performance with goals, putting the team ahead 4-0. Colby's Anya Jiang finally put the Mules on the scoreboard with a goal late in the game. Despite the loss, Colby ended the season with a record of 18 wins, 7 losses, and 2 ties. Amherst, now with a record of 22-5-1, will face Middlebury in the semifinals. Middlebury won their quarterfinal match against Nazareth with a score of 1-0.
