Amir Arison stars as a DEA supervisor in *Dope Thief*
Amir Arison, known for his role as Aram Mojtabai on NBC's "The Blacklist," has launched a new series on Apple TV+. His new show is called "Dope Thief," which premiered on March 14, 2025. In this series, he plays Mark Nader, a DEA supervisor. Arison shared that moving from one law enforcement role to another was unexpected for him. In "Dope Thief," Arison's character is on a mission to track down a criminal named Ray, played by Brian Tyree Henry. Arison described his new role as a kind of "graduation" from his previous character. While Aram was a junior FBI agent focused on teamwork, Mark is a more serious boss who often says no. Arison noted that while both roles are law enforcement, they are different. He felt it was exciting to portray a character with a contrasting personality. Mark is not concerned with keeping spirits up, unlike Aram, who tried to uplift others on "The Blacklist." Arison expressed that playing Mark felt right as he has grown as an actor. "Dope Thief" tests Arison's abilities in a more intense setting. He left "The Blacklist" to join a Broadway production and appeared only as a guest in its final season. The actor's transition to this new role has fans looking forward to his performance. Those interested can watch "Dope Thief" with an Apple TV+ subscription.
