Amiri uncertain about staying with Mainz long-term
Mainz is performing well in the Bundesliga this season, currently in third place. A key player for them has been Nadiem Amiri. His strong performances earned him a call-up to the German national team. Other clubs, like Eintracht Frankfurt and RB Leipzig, are interested in Amiri. However, he recently spoke about his future at Mainz and seems uncertain. He expressed that he is happy at the club but did not commit to staying next season. Amiri mentioned, "I told my agent to leave me alone until the summer." He emphasized his goal to finish the season well with Mainz. Although he has a contract until 2028, he stated that he can't guarantee he will remain at Mainz. When asked if qualifying for the Champions League would influence his decision, Amiri said yes. He sees playing at that level, or even the Europa League, as important for showcasing his talent.
