Amorim plans to sell four Manchester United players
Ruben Amorim, the manager of Manchester United, plans to sell four players this summer as part of a team overhaul. He has already decided to let go of Marcus Rashford, Antony, and Tyrell Malacia, who were loaned out in January. In addition to these players, Amorim intends to sell goalkeeper Andre Onana. Onana joined Manchester United in 2023 after a successful stint at Inter Milan. However, he has struggled to meet expectations in England and has faced criticism for his performances. There is reported interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia for Onana, and Amorim is prepared to consider any offers for him. The team is also looking for a new goalkeeper, with Royal Antwerp's Senne Lammens and Lille's Lucas Chevalier as potential replacements. Sir Jim Ratcliffe, a key figure at Manchester United, recently labeled Onana as "overpaid" due to his underwhelming displays. Former player Louis Saha shared similar sentiments, stating Onana’s performances have been "unacceptable." Manchester United's current season has not gone well, with the team sitting in 13th place in the Premier League. After the upcoming international break, they will face Nottingham Forest on April 1. United still hopes to improve their season by aiming for a Europa League victory, which could lead to Champions League qualification.
