Amy Sherman-Palladino's series Étoile to compete as comedy

Amy Sherman-Palladino, known for shows like Gilmore Girls and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, has a new series called Étoile. This show will compete in the comedy categories at the 2025 Emmy Awards, similar to her previous hit. Étoile will feature Luke Kirby, who won an Emmy for his role as Lenny Bruce in Mrs. Maisel. The new series has been labeled as a dramedy, blending elements of both drama and comedy. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel won many awards, including the first Outstanding Comedy Series Emmy for a streaming show in 2018. Étoile is set to premiere on April 24, with all eight episodes available on Prime Video on the same day.
