Anand Mahindra helps chess grandmaster Arjun Erigaisi secure US visa for championships

Indian Grandmaster Arjun Erigaisi has secured a US visa to compete in the World Rapid and Blitz Championships starting December 26. Anand Mahindra played a key role in helping him overcome visa challenges. Arjun expressed gratitude for the support he received from Mahindra, the Ministry of External Affairs, and the US Embassy. He aims to represent India well in the tournament, which features top players like Magnus Carlsen and Fabiano Caruana. This year, Arjun achieved a significant milestone by reaching an ELO rating of 2800, becoming only the second Indian to do so. He also won individual and team gold at the Chess Olympiad.
