Anantnag police seize Rs 75 lakh properties from drug peddlers
Anantnag police have seized properties worth Rs 75 lakhs connected to drug peddlers. This action took place in the areas of Srigufwara and Bijbehara in Jammu and Kashmir. The police attached the properties under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. One property, valued at around Rs 60 lakhs, belonged to Tariq Ahmad Lone. He is accused of drug trafficking and is involved in a police case registered in 2019. In a different case, police confiscated commercial shops owned by Gulzar Ahmad Rather. His properties are worth Rs 15 lakhs and are linked to a more recent drug-related case. These actions show the police’s commitment to fighting drug crime and dismantling its financial support networks.
