This committee will create a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) focused on National Security Studies. The course will be available on the SWAYAM platform. The committee includes several notable members, such as Professor Harsh Kumar Sinha and Sanjeev Jain, the Vice-Chancellor of Central University of Jammu. They will work together to finalize the course syllabus, number of credits, and its modules, following guidelines from the National Education Policy 2020. Kanneganti said the committee plans to consider human security perspectives, ethics, and law in relation to key security issues. These include maritime, coastal, and cyber security, as well as advancements in technology like Artificial Intelligence. He emphasized the importance of identifying critical areas to create a society that can effectively confront modern security threats. A report from the Ministry of Home Affairs indicates that India's coastline has grown by nearly 50% over the last fifty years, impacting various coastal states. The committee aims to develop an integrated curriculum that focuses on the connections between cybersecurity and maritime security. Kanneganti wants to address the risks associated with misuse of technologies like AI. Kanneganti comes from Tenali in Guntur district. Recently, he represented India at a training session on Human-Centred Artificial Intelligence at Stanford University.
