Andhra Pradesh accelerates RTGS data integration process
Andhra Pradesh's Chief Secretary, K. Vijayanand, has called on government officials to speed up the integration of data for the Real-Time Governance Society (RTGS). This is part of a push to establish a data lake that will improve access to government services. During a meeting on Monday, Vijayanand urged department heads who have not yet submitted their data to do so quickly. He emphasized this effort aligns with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu's goal to enhance public service delivery. Vijayanand expressed happiness over the availability of over 200 government services through WhatsApp. He stressed the importance of adding voice-based services and using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve these offerings. According to IT & Real-Time Governance Department Secretary Katamneni Bhaskar, a system is being tested that will allow citizens to interact with services using voice commands. Most government departments are now connected to the data lake, with ongoing efforts to ensure full integration. Additionally, the government is launching the AP Weather Forecasting and Early Warning Research Center (AWARE) Hub to provide real-time weather updates to citizens and farmers. Key officials were present during the meeting to discuss these initiatives.
