Andhra Pradesh Inter admissions schedule for 2025-26 released

The Board of Intermediate Education in Andhra Pradesh has announced the admission schedule for the 2025-26 academic year. Classes for second-year intermediate courses will start on April 1, 2025. First-year classes will begin on April 7, 2025. The board emphasizes that admissions will be made based on marks from qualifying examinations. No entrance tests will be held. Stringent actions will be taken against any junior colleges that do not follow these guidelines. Reservations for admissions are set for different groups. Schedule Castes will have 15% of seats, Schedule Tribes 6%, and Backward Classes 29%. There are also allocations for Children With Special Needs, sports, and Economically Weaker Sections. Additionally, a minimum of 33.33% of seats must be reserved for girls in colleges without separate institutions for them. Principals can make provisional admissions based on a student's SSC Hall ticket. However, final admission will require the SSC Pass Certificate or a valid document from DigiLocker. Colleges must adhere to the capacity limits specified by the board, which are 88 students per section for regular courses and lower limits for vocational courses. The board requires that colleges publicly display information about available seats and daily updates on how many are filled. All colleges must report student admissions through the UDISEPLUS portal after the start date. Private colleges are warned to not issue any ranks related to the Intermediate Public Examination to protect students' interests.
