Andhra Pradesh partners with Germany to boost youth employment
The Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) has teamed up with the Indian community in Germany to launch Project SarvaSetu. This project aims to help young professionals in Andhra Pradesh gain skills for job opportunities in Germany. The initiative will provide German language training, cultural education, and integration skills to final-year ITI students. G. Ganesh Kumar, the Managing Director and CEO of APSSDC, stated that this training will help students prepare for the German job market. A group from the Indian diaspora in Germany, along with the Consulate General of India in Munich, is supporting the project. They will offer German language training to selected students in two batches, each with 150 participants from various technical institutes. Students who complete the A1 and A2 level German language courses will be eligible to apply for jobs in Germany. The Project SarvaSetu team plans to provide virtual support for the language training and job applications. Training sessions are expected to begin in the first week of May 2025. Ganesh Kumar emphasized that this collaboration is an important move to close skill gaps and create new job opportunities for Indian youth in the global job market.
