Andhra Pradesh to install 58-foot Potti Sriramulu statue

The Andhra Pradesh government plans to install a 58-foot statue of Potti Sriramulu in Amaravati within a year. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced this on March 16, 2025, during Sriramulu's 125th birth anniversary. Naidu also stated that Sriramulu's house in Padamatipalli will be turned into a museum. Additionally, a health center and a modern high school will be built in his honor. Sriramulu's fasting led to the creation of Andhra State in 1953. The government will hold 12 programs throughout the year to celebrate his legacy.
