Andhra Pradesh ULBs receive ₹112 crore for development

The Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) department has approved the transfer of ₹112 crore to 40 urban local bodies (ULBs) for various development projects. This decision comes after requests from local MLAs. The funding will be provided to ULBs in several districts, including Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema, Anantapur, Chittoor, Nandyal, and others. The amount will be reimbursed to these bodies, as stated in an official note. The ULBs are directed to use the funds for specific improvements. These include projects aimed at enhancing water supply, building roads, maintaining drains, installing street lighting, and developing parks.
