Andrew Mehrtens and Bobby Skinstad become co-chairmen of French club Beziers

Andrew Mehrtens and Bobby Skinstad have become co-chairmen of French second-division club Beziers, alongside an Irish investment fund. This marks a significant change as the club has been under municipal control for four years. Beziers, once a strong team in the 1970s and 1980s, is currently seventh in the second division, trailing leaders Montauban by five points. The mayor of Beziers announced the new ownership, stating, "The club has been saved." Mehrtens, a former All Blacks player, and Skinstad, a Rugby World Cup winner, aim to revitalize the struggling club. Mehrtens previously played for Beziers, finishing his career there.
