Anshul Kamboj was sold to Chennai Super Kings for Rs 3.4 crore during the IPL 2025 auction in Jeddah. His bidding started at Rs 20 lakh and escalated due to interest from Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians, and Chennai Super Kings. Kamboj, a 23-year-old pacer from Haryana, made his IPL debut last season with Mumbai Indians. He was released before this auction and has shown strong performance in domestic cricket, including an eight-wicket haul in the Duleep Trophy. In total, Kamboj has taken 19 wickets in 17 T20 matches, maintaining an impressive economy rate of 8.18 runs per over.
