Luca wore an Edwards jersey and held a sign with an inspiring message. During their meeting, Edwards signed Luca's jersey and took photos with him. Luca gifted Edwards a wristband that read "love like Luca," which Edwards promised to wear for the rest of his career. In the Timberwolves' next game against the LA Clippers, Edwards wore the wristband and scored 37 points, helping his team win after trailing by 19 points.
