Anthony Gordon may have serious hip injury
Thomas Tuchel has given an update on Anthony Gordon's injury after England's 2-0 win against Albania at Wembley. Gordon came on as a substitute in the 74th minute but soon felt pain during a challenge and clutched his hip. He attempted to continue playing but fell to the ground in distress just before the game ended. Two members of England's medical staff helped him off the field while his teammates celebrated the victory. After the match, Tuchel confirmed that Gordon is injured. Initially, he thought it might be a stomach issue, but it turns out to be related to his hip. Tuchel said, "Unfortunately, it does not look good." It is unclear if Gordon will recover in time for England's next World Cup qualifier against Latvia on Monday. Newcastle's coach, Eddie Howe, is hopeful that the injury is not serious. Gordon had already missed Newcastle’s last two matches due to a previous red card. He will also miss the home game against Brentford on April 2. However, if his injury isn't major, he may return to play against Leicester City on April 7.
