Anthropic developing voice features for Claude chatbot
Anthropic, an AI startup, is reportedly developing voice features for its chatbot, Claude. Mike Krieger, the company's chief product officer, shared details with the Financial Times about these new capabilities. Users will eventually be able to talk to Claude, making interactions more natural. Krieger emphasized that a voice interface could enhance how Claude operates, especially on desktops. He mentioned that they are working on this feature and have already created some prototypes. Also, Anthropic has been in discussions with Amazon, which is a significant investor, and voice-focused startup ElevenLabs. These talks aim to improve Claude's voice functionalities, but no agreements have been reached yet. Krieger highlighted that they are exploring partnerships to help launch the voice experience more quickly.
