Anup Jalota honors tabla legend Zakir Hussain after his passing

Anup Jalota, who performed with him in 10-12 concerts, expressed deep sorrow over his death, calling him irreplaceable. Jalota shared fond memories of their performances together in America and Canada, highlighting Hussain's humility and talent. He emphasized that Hussain's contributions to music were unmatched and that every moment spent with him was unforgettable. Hussain, born on March 9, 1951, was the son of tabla master Ustad Alla Rakha. He received several prestigious awards, including the Padma Vibhushan in 2023, and collaborated with many Western musicians, promoting Indian classical music globally.
