Apple offers three keyboard models for iPad users

Apple offers three different keyboards for most iPad models, except the iPad mini, which only supports Bluetooth keyboards. With one keyboard option available for each iPad type, it's crucial to consider the unique features and designs when making a choice. The current options include the Magic Keyboard Folio, which offers a detachable design and a separate kickstand. This feature is helpful for using the iPad on a flat surface but less ideal for lap use. The Magic Keyboards for the iPad Air and iPad Pro feature an integrated design that is more suitable for lap use and resembles a laptop experience. The keyboards for the iPad Air and Pro share many similarities. However, the iPad Pro version is made with an aluminum top case, giving it a more premium look. It also has advanced haptic feedback on the trackpad, mimicking the feel of a physical click. All the keyboards come with a 14-key function row and a large trackpad. Backlighting is available, which is beneficial for using the iPad in darker settings. For those who own the original Magic Keyboard for iPad Air or iPad Pro, the new models offer significant improvements. However, users upgrading to the latest iPad Air keyboard should be aware that the new version does not include backlighting.
