Apple One lacks a student subscription tier

Apple rolled out its subscription service, Apple One, in 2020. This service allows users to bundle several Apple services at a lower price. Currently, Apple One has three levels: Individual, Family, and Premier. The Individual plan costs $19.95 per month. It includes Apple Music, Apple Arcade, Apple TV+, and 50GB of iCloud storage. The Family plan is priced at $26.95 monthly, offering more iCloud storage at 200GB and sharing options for families. The Premier plan, the most expensive at $37.95, adds Apple Fitness+ and Apple News+ along with 2TB of iCloud storage. While these plans are solid, there is a suggestion for a fourth tier aimed at students. Apple already offers discounted rates for students on Apple Music, making it cheaper for them. The idea is to create an Apple One Student plan that combines the existing Individual plan with a student discount. This new plan could be priced around $10.95 per month. It would appeal to students, offering them cloud storage, Apple Arcade, and access to Apple Music and Apple TV+. Introducing a student tier could help Apple attract younger users. Additionally, many students may remain subscribers after graduation. The proposed student plan could be a win-win, drawing in new customers while providing affordable options for students.
