Applications for 5248 Medical Officer posts start March 25
The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has announced that applications for 5248 Medical Officer positions will open on March 25, 2025. The application period will last until April 25, 2025. Eligible candidates can apply online at the OPSC official website. This recruitment will fill various vacancies in Group A (Junior branch). The breakdown of vacancies includes 411 unreserved posts, 736 for SEBC, 1620 for Scheduled Caste, and 2481 for Scheduled Tribe candidates. To apply, candidates must have an MBBS degree from a recognized medical college. Those with foreign degrees need a conversion certificate from the Medical Council of India. Candidates must also have completed their internship by the application deadline and hold a registration certificate under the Odisha Medical Registration Act, 1961. In terms of age, applicants should be between 21 and 32 years old as of January 1, 2025. This means they should have been born between January 2, 1993, and January 1, 2004. To apply, candidates need to visit the OPSC website, register, select the Medical Officer position, complete the application, and upload required documents. After submitting, they should download and print the confirmation page for their records. The selection process will involve a written test scheduled for May 11, 2025, in Cuttack or Bhubaneswar. The test will consist of 200 multiple-choice questions, worth a total of 200 marks, with a three-hour time limit. There will be negative marking for incorrect answers.
