A.R. Murugadoss hints at 'Ghajini 2' sequel plans

Speculation is growing about the possibility of a sequel to the popular film "Ghajini," originally released in 2008. Director AR Murugadoss recently revealed that he met actor Aamir Khan on the set of Khan's upcoming movie, "Sitaare Zameen Par." They discussed ideas for "Ghajini 2," but Murugadoss noted that they are currently busy with other projects. Earlier this year, producer Allu Aravind expressed interest in creating a sequel. He highlighted how "Ghajini" was a groundbreaking film at the box office, making over Rs 200 crore when it was released. Aravind mentioned wishing to collaborate with Aamir on a film that could potentially earn Rs 1000 crore. Murugadoss also pointed out similarities between "Ghajini" and his upcoming movie "Sikandar." He mentioned that while both films feature a love story, "Sikandar" focuses on a husband-wife relationship, exploring modern family dynamics. The original "Ghajini" was notable for its gripping plot, revolving around a businessman with memory loss seeking revenge for his girlfriend's murder. Both the Tamil and Hindi versions of the film received critical acclaim and achieved significant box office success.
