Argentina to host first-ever padel tournament on clay courts in Buenos Aires

Argentina will host the first-ever padel tournament on clay courts, the Argentina Padel Team Tour, in Buenos Aires from December 2024. This marks a significant milestone for the sport, which is rapidly gaining popularity worldwide. The tournament will feature two teams, Team Celeste and Team Blanco, each with six players and a captain. Over three days, nine matches will be played, using a unique scoring system that awards different points based on match outcomes. Star players, including former world champions Tino Libaak, Alex Chozas, and Leo Augsburg, will participate. The clay surface will influence the game's pace and ball bounce, presenting new challenges for the competitors.
