Ariana Grande stars in film adaptation of 'Wicked' set for November 28 release
The movie adaptation of "Wicked," starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, will be released in theaters on November 28. It tells the story of two witches, Elphaba and Galinda, and their complex friendship at Shiz University. "Wicked" is based on the Tony-winning Broadway musical, which itself is adapted from Gregory Maguire's 1995 novel. The film explores Elphaba's transformation into the Wicked Witch of the West and questions her true nature. The film is divided into two parts, with the second part expected in November 2025. Other cast members include Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible and Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero.
