Arjun Erigaisi receives US visa for World Rapid and Blitz Championships in New York

Grandmaster Arjun Erigaisi has received his US visa to compete in the World Rapid and Blitz Championships in New York. He had previously expressed concerns about not having the visa in time for the tournament. The championships will take place from December 26 to 31 and feature top players, including Magnus Carlsen and Fabiano Caruana. Arjun, ranked World No. 4, plans to leave for New York on Monday night. Arjun recently became the second Indian to surpass the 2800 Elo rating mark and won gold at the Chess Olympiad in Budapest.
