Armed robbers injure two in Cachar district home invasion

In Cachar district, a group of 10 armed thieves attacked a family late on Sunday night. They entered the home of a senior citizen, Binoy Deb, assaulted the family members, and stole cash and jewellery. The robbery took place near Pechachara Bazzar in the Kalain block. The robbers broke down the main door and forced their way into the house. Binoy's son, Biswajit, tried to call for help but was badly beaten by the intruders. While some robbers stayed outside, others searched the home for valuables. Neighbour Liton Deb tried to assist but was shot at, resulting in a minor injury to his hand. Another neighbour reported that the robbers threatened him as well. Both Biswajit and Liton were taken to a local health centre for treatment. Binoy shared that this was a shocking experience for their family. He noted that the robbers spoke Hindi and Bengali. Police quickly arrived and began an investigation into the incident. As of now, no arrests have been made, and authorities are searching for the suspects.
