Arrest made following emergency situation in Peterborough
One person has been arrested following an emergency situation in Peterborough on Tuesday night. The police have not yet released the identity of the arrested individual. Peterborough Police Chief Scott Guinard confirmed there is no threat to the public. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. on Keenan Drive. Shortly after, the police asked residents in the Pineridge neighborhood to either evacuate or stay inside. Residents living on Keenan Drive, Nichols Road, Taylor Road, Currier Avenue, Tarbell Road, and nearby areas were affected for several hours. The Peterborough Town House was opened as a shelter for those needing assistance. Police reported seeing multiple state police vehicles and drones at the scene. The situation was described as "very volatile." New Hampshire State Police are helping with the ongoing investigation.
