Aspen Insurance appoints Dunleavy and Lagler to Board
Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited announced two new appointments to its Board. Christian Dunleavy has been appointed as a Director, and Michael Lagler as a Non-Executive Director. These changes took effect on March 17, 2025. Christian Dunleavy is currently the Group President and CEO of Aspen Bermuda Limited. He oversees the company’s underwriting strategy and business development. Dunleavy has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry and joined Aspen in 2015. Michael Lagler works as a Private Equity Associate at Apollo Global Management in London. He specializes in private equity investments related to insurance and financial services. Before joining Apollo, Lagler worked in investment banking at Perella Weinberg Partners. Mark Cloutier, the Group CEO and Chairman, expressed his enthusiasm about the new board members. He emphasized that both appointments will bring valuable expertise to Aspen. Aspen provides insurance and reinsurance services worldwide through its subsidiaries in various countries, including Bermuda and the United States.
