Aspen Pharmacare to produce mpox vaccines, 12 million doses possible

Aspen Pharmacare, an African drugmaker, is in advanced discussions to produce mpox vaccines, as confirmed by CEO Stephen Saad. UNICEF has issued an emergency tender for vaccines in crisis-hit countries, collaborating with Gavi, Africa CDC, and WHO. Agreements could secure up to 12 million doses by 2025, depending on manufacturers' production capacities.
