Assam Medical College recognized as India's best for research
Assam Medical College (AMC) in Dibrugarh has been named the best college for medical research in India for the second year in a row. The award was announced during the Medical Colleges Research-Connect event in New Delhi on Thursday. Prominent figures in the medical and research fields attended the event. They included Dr. VK Paul from NITI Aayog and Dr. BN Gangadhar, chairman of the National Medical Commission. The principal of AMC, Dr. Sanjeeb Kakati, and the vice-principal, Dr. Reema Nath, received the award on behalf of the college. This recognition highlights AMC's dedication to improving medical research and innovation. It sets a standard for excellence in the field, encouraging other institutions in India to enhance their research efforts. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma praised the college's achievement on social media. He emphasized the importance of high-quality research in medical colleges to improve patient care.
