Assassin's Creed Shadows introduces free gear transmog system

In Assassin's Creed Shadows, players have a new feature called transmog. This allows you to change the appearance of your gear without affecting its stats. This option is free to use and has fewer restrictions compared to previous games, like Assassin's Creed Valhalla, which limited transmog by using in-game currency. To transmog your equipment, you need to unlock at least two pieces of gear in the same category. Open your Inventory menu and select the item you want to change. Then, press Y or Triangle to access the Visual Customization menu. This will allow you to change how your armor or weapon looks. When customizing armor, you can pick any other piece to take its appearance. For weapons, you can either choose a different weapon design or customize parts like the blade or handle. Once you change the look of an item, it will be marked with a star icon in your menu. Notably, when you first discover a weapon or armor, that customization option is permanently unlocked. This means you don’t have to keep low-level items just for their look. You can sell or dismantle them when you no longer need them.
