Assassin's Creed Shadows lacks multiplayer and co-op modes
Assassin's Creed Shadows does not include multiplayer or co-op modes at its launch. Players looking for competitive gameplay will be disappointed, as these features are absent. The game offers some online elements mainly related to limited-time events and in-game purchases, but that's about it. However, there is some hope for the future. Executive Producer Marc-Alexis Côté mentioned the development of a separate multiplayer project called "Invictus." This game will not be part of Shadows but may provide multiplayer options later on. Reports also suggest a possible co-op update, code-named "League," could arrive after the game's launch. This update would bring similar co-op gameplay seen in Assassin's Creed Unity, but details about it remain uncertain. For now, Assassin's Creed Shadows is strictly a single-player game. It features online elements like the Assassin's Creed Shadows Projects, which resemble battle passes, but no official multiplayer mode exists at this time.
