Assassin's Creed Shadows launches on Mac today

Ubisoft has launched Assassin's Creed Shadows on Mac, available from Day 1. This game is set in 16th century Japan and features two main characters: Naoe, a shinobi assassin, and Yasuke, an African samurai. Their stories offer players a unique gaming experience. Developed by Ubisoft Québec, the game takes advantage of advanced Mac technologies. It supports MetalFX, Apple silicon, and hardware-accelerated ray tracing on M3 and M4 devices. Players can explore a detailed open world with changing weather, realistic lighting, and environments that react to their actions. Assassin's Creed Shadows is priced at $69.99 in the Mac App Store. It's a significant release, being the first open-world RPG in the series since Assassin's Creed Valhalla. The game is also available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Amazon Luna, Windows PC, and is verified for Steam Deck. Mac users can expect more exciting titles soon. Control Ultimate Edition will release on March 26, 2025, supporting ray tracing on M4 Macs. Wuthering Waves, another open-world action RPG, follows on March 27, 2025. Cyberpunk 2077 and Robocop: Rogue City are also coming this year. Additionally, Capcom's Resident Evil 3 is already available, and Sid Meier's Civilization VII launched last month on Mac through Steam.
