Assistant manager murdered by tea garden worker

An assistant manager at Jayantika Tea Garden was killed on Thursday. The victim, Nilanjan Bhadra, was reportedly attacked by a worker named Elthrus Ekka. This incident took place in the Bas Line Division of the tea garden in Phansidewa. Bhadra was attacked from behind with a sharp weapon. The blow was so powerful that it knocked him about nine feet away from his bike, leading to his immediate death. Local police responded quickly, sealing off the area for an investigation. Forensic experts arrived to collect evidence before the body was sent to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for an autopsy. Ekka was arrested after admitting to the crime. He claimed that Bhadra had falsely accused him of stealing Rs 70,000.
