Astro Bot wins Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2024

Astro Bot won four awards, including Game of the Year, at The Game Awards 2024. Team Asobi also received honors for Best Game Direction, Best Family Game, and Best Action/Adventure Game. Metaphor: ReFantazio and Balatro each won three awards. Metaphor: ReFantazio was recognized for Best Narrative, Best Art Direction, and Best RPG, while Balatro took home Best Independent Game, Best Debut Indie Game, and Best Mobile Game. The event featured new game announcements, including The Witcher 4 and a sequel to Okami. A new Game Changers Award was presented to Amir Satvat for supporting developers impacted by layoffs.
