Asylum game finally released after 15 years of development
A popular horror game developer, Agustin Cordes, has released a new game called Asylum. This game is a spiritual successor to his 2006 hit, Scratches. Cordes became well-known for creating one of the first commercial adventure games in Argentina, which has influenced many horror titles since then. Asylum was first announced in 2010, and it took many years to finally come out. This project faced several delays, partly due to budget constraints. The team worked on a small budget and had limited time because they juggled other jobs. They also had to create a new game engine from scratch, which is quite challenging for developers. The game is much larger than Scratches, with over 100 rooms to explore. It aims to provide a detailed and immersive horror experience. Inspired by well-known horror themes and stories, players will navigate through a complex institute and encounter mysterious characters along the way. Overall, after 15 years of development and a successful Kickstarter campaign that raised $120,000, fans can finally experience Asylum. Cordes and his team have worked hard to deliver a unique horror adventure after nearly two decades since their last major release.
