Ather and Salesforce launch AI platform for dealerships

timesofindia.indiatimes.com

Ather Energy, a manufacturer of electric two-wheelers, has partnered with Salesforce to launch a new AI-powered platform. This mobile app-based system is designed to help automotive dealers make quicker, real-time decisions and improve customer satisfaction. The new platform aims to reduce the typical four-week turnaround time for customers. It also addresses the shortage of skilled workers in the electric vehicle (EV) industry. Ather operates 350 dealerships across India and plans to expand its network. The AI-driven system will monitor operational efficiency across different functions. It combines lead management, customer relationship management, and dealership management into one scalable platform. Ather's Chief Business Officer, Ravneet S Phokela, pointed out that their previous technology setup was outdated and difficult to manage. Salesforce India executive Mankiran Chowhan highlighted that AI innovations are essential for improving customer interactions as the EV market continues to grow. Additionally, Ather is preparing to file an updated draft for its IPO this week. The company expects to go public in the first half of April, but at a lower valuation than originally planned.
