Atlantic City air show returns July 2025 after pause
The Atlantic City air show is returning this summer after a two-year break. Officials had previously announced a "strategic pause" in December. The event will be part of the Visit Atlantic City Soar & Shore Festival, set for July 15 and 16. The air show is free for the public and is a collaboration between Visit Atlantic City and Herb Gillen Airshows. Gary Musich, the president and CEO of Visit Atlantic City, expressed excitement about bringing back this popular event for both locals and visitors. Mayor Marty Small praised the efforts of various organizations, including the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority and the Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce, for helping to revive the air show. The event was canceled in 2024 due to a major performer dropping out. This year’s festival is expected to include four or five indoor concerts at Boardwalk Hall. The total cost of the events is estimated to be about $780,000, with the air show itself costing around $380,000. Herb Gillen, president of Herb Gillen Airshows, also shared his enthusiasm. He said the festival will offer thrilling experiences for everyone, from families to aviation fans. More details about the festival and other activities will be released in the coming months.
