Atonemo Streamplayer enables wireless streaming for any speaker

A new device called the Atonemo Streamplayer is set to make streaming music easier for users with older audio equipment. This small unit is roughly the size of an oversized lighter and can upgrade any speaker, amplifier, or audio system to a smart, wireless setup. The Streamplayer is designed with versatility in mind. Unlike other streaming devices, it allows users to connect speakers from different brands and eras without being tied to a specific ecosystem. It supports popular streaming options including AirPlay 2, Google Cast, and Spotify Connect, among others. To use the Streamplayer, it needs to be connected to any audio product with a 3.5mm auxiliary input. It also requires a USB-C power source and connects to home Wi-Fi through the Atonemo app. The app is used for setup and managing connected speakers but does not control playback, which happens through users' preferred streaming services. Leo Ballesteros, the founder and CEO of Atonemo, explains that the company aims to enhance existing speakers rather than replace them. He believes many speakers excel in sound quality and design but lack modern streaming capabilities. The Atonemo Streamplayer is expected to launch this Spring, priced at £99, $99, or €99.
