Atresmedia's "Perdiendo el juicio" premieres in Malaga
Atresmedia is launching a new legal drama called “Perdiendo el juicio” at the Malaga Film Festival. This light-hearted series focuses on a respected lawyer whose life changes dramatically after an episode of obsessive-compulsive disorder during a trial. The show features award-winning actress Elena Rivera in the lead role. It is produced by Atresmedia in collaboration with Boomerang TV, and much of the creative team behind the successful series “Alba” is involved in this project as well. Montse García, the director of fiction at Atresmedia, highlighted the show's strong premise and engaging plots. She believes the series will resonate with viewers due to its compelling characters and high production quality. García praised Rivera, stating she brings depth and versatility to her character. The creators aimed for a balance between humor and the serious themes of OCD, which posed some challenges during production. However, they were satisfied with the results. “Perdiendo el juicio” is set to premiere on March 23 on Atresplayer and will later air on Antena 3. García noted that the series reflects a growing interest in procedural dramas, citing other successful shows that have created a demand for this genre. The story is relatable, focusing on stress, anxiety, and the quest for second chances, making it appealing to a wide audience. In addition to this new series, Atresmedia will also present “Mariliendre,” a musical series about a group of gay friends in Madrid, at the festival.
