Auckland woman injured by speeding Lime Scooter on footpath

A woman in Auckland has been injured after being hit by a Lime Scooter while walking on the footpath. The incident happened around midnight on Friday and was captured on security cameras outside an apartment building in the central area. The rider of the scooter has been identified and banned from using Lime services. The company has a strict no-tolerance policy for unsafe riding. The injured woman, 21-year-old university student Diane Lee, suffered several bruises and a wound on her cheek. Scooter-related injuries are becoming a concern in New Zealand. Last year, the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) reported nearly $15 million in payments for such claims, with the numbers increasing significantly.
