Audemars Piguet launches limited-edition watches for anniversary
Audemars Piguet (AP) is celebrating 150 years of watchmaking with new limited-edition timepieces. The Swiss brand, known for its craftsmanship, has revealed a special Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar and two unique Code 11.59 models. The Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar is limited to only 150 pieces. This 41mm watch showcases the Calibre 5135, which has been used in their openworked perpetual calendars for nearly ten years. It features a titanium case and bracelet, enhanced by a shimmering Bulk Metallic Glass bezel. The design displays intricate craftsmanship, visible through a sapphire dial. The watch includes a moon-phase indicator that realistically shows the lunar cycle, inspired by NASA images. Its deep blue and silver-grey components reflect a vintage style. The special engravings on the caseback emphasize its exclusivity. Alongside the Royal Oak, two Code 11.59 Grande Sonnerie Carillon Supersonnerie models are also part of the anniversary celebration. One model has a stunning natural opal dial set in an 18-carat pink gold case. The colorful opal changes hues with light, creating a captivating effect. The other model features a sapphire dial that reveals the mechanism behind its chiming function. Both watches demonstrate AP’s skill in creating complex and beautiful timepieces. The acoustic features ensure that the sound is clear and resonant, enhancing the overall experience. In its milestone year, Audemars Piguet continues to blend innovative technology with traditional artistry. These new watches not only honor the brand's rich history but also signal its commitment to future excellence in watchmaking.
