Aurora holds St. Patrick's Parade despite snowy weather
Aurora held its St. Patrick's Parade on Sunday despite cold and snowy weather. The parade featured 30 participants, an increase from 20 last year, and concluded with an Irish flag-raising ceremony at the Grand Army of the Republic Museum. The flag was raised in memory of Daniel D. Dolan, a local philanthropist. The event included the presentation of Emerald Excellence Awards and a performance by the McNulty Irish Dancers. Attendance was lower due to the weather, but many attendees remained enthusiastic. Participants expressed their commitment to celebrating the holiday, with families enjoying traditional foods and festive attire. Despite the snow, the community spirit was evident as attendees embraced the occasion.
