Aurora man shot dead; police hunt for shooter

An Aurora man was shot and killed in his apartment on Friday night. The incident happened shortly after 10:15 p.m. Police discovered the victim when a neighbor entered the apartment after hearing noises coming from inside. The man was found with a gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital. He died on Saturday morning. The Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office will release his identity. As of Saturday afternoon, police were still searching for the shooter. They reported that they were following up on various leads but had not yet made any arrests.
