Avalanche triumphed over Senators 5-1 in Ottawa
The Colorado Avalanche won decisively against the Ottawa Senators with a score of 5-1. This victory came after a strong first period where Colorado scored four goals. Nathan MacKinnon, Brock Nelson, Cale Makar, and Joel Kiviranta were the players who found the net for the Avalanche. Brock Nelson had a standout game, scoring two goals. This was his first scoring achievement since joining Colorado from the New York Islanders. Goalie Scott Wedgewood made 15 saves, although he did allow a late power-play goal from Ottawa’s Dylan Cozens. The Avalanche's offense overwhelmed Senators goalie Linus Ullmark, forcing him out of the game after he let in four goals on just 13 shots.
