Avon police arrest thief fleeing Meijer store
Police in Avon, Ohio, arrested a man suspected of stealing from a Meijer store on February 15. During the incident, witnesses described the suspect's vehicle. Officers later found the car and recovered the stolen items inside. The man now faces charges of theft. On February 24, another man was arrested after a traffic stop on Interstate 90. Officers discovered he had an active protection order against him. The protected party, who was a passenger in his vehicle, led to his arrest for violating the order. Additionally, on February 12, police stopped a driver for a lane violation near Detroit Road. They later arrested this driver for operating a vehicle while impaired. On February 19, a theft was reported at Heinen’s grocery store. A loss prevention officer alerted the police, but no further information has been released regarding that case.
