Ayodhya plans to light 2.8 million diyas for Diwali celebration at Ram Temple
Summary: Ayodhya will celebrate its eighth Deepotsav this year with plans to light 28 lakh diyas for Diwali at the newly built Ram temple. The Uttar Pradesh government aims to set a world record while using eco-friendly lamps to reduce carbon emissions.
Special wax lamps will be used to protect the temple from soot damage. Over 30,000 volunteers are involved in decorating 55 ghats along the Saryu river, with a major highlight being a Swastik symbol made of 80,000 diyas.
The temple will be open for visitors from October 29 to November 1, allowing them to view the decorations. The diya arrangements will be completed by October 28, with counting set for October 29.
